David Coombs is Head of Strategic Services at Cheil UK. He leads the development of strategy for the agency’s clients including leading the strategy for Samsung UK and NIVEA, helping to create successful and award-winning integrated campaigns. His current role encompasses strategy, planning, data and social as well as over-seeing Cheil UK’s creative technology and data output. With his boundless curiosity and in-depth knowledge of the digital landscape, David’s ‘bullshit radar’ is unrivalled – a powerful asset in a digital marketplace characterised by fast-emerging new technologies and trends (some important, some hyped). Before joining Cheil, David was Executive Planning Director at AKQA where he was group strategy lead for a portfolio of FMCG and retail clients, and Digital Strategy Director for OMD.
